Karnataka government to provide STEAM-based education at the high school level in public schools
The Karnataka government has decided to implement STEAM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) high-tech education in all Karnataka Public Schools (KPS) at the high school level. This initiative aims to develop students into creative entrepreneurs by focusing on experimental learning, robotics, coding, electronics, model building, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for future job markets in fields like AI, ML, cybersecurity, data science, and space technology. The inclusion of 'Arts' emphasizes imagination and design thinking. A pilot program is already underway in Kalasa, Chikkamagaluru, with the help of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL).
