Nine Irulars rescued from brick kiln near Ambur

Nine members of the Irular tribal community, including women and children, were rescued from a brick kiln near Ambur, Tirupattur, where they had been subjected to bonded labor for over a decade. They were forced to work long hours (over 15 hours/day) without proper facilities, subjected to physical abuse, and held captive after an advance payment of ₹15,000.
